The first river transport convoy carrying timber cargo has arrived at the Yakutsk River Port for LLC "LPK Almas".
The barges delivered 3,000 cubic meters of pine sawlogs for processing at the Yakutsk Wood Processing Plant and approximately 3,000 cubic meters of sawn timber for sale to customers.
These are the first volumes scheduled for delivery during the 2025 navigation season.
In total, more than 80,000 cubic meters of sawlogs and sawn timber are planned to be transported for processing and sale — more than double the volume recorded in 2024.
We are confident that, with the support of our partners — LLC "Rechservice" and the Yakutsk River Port, together with LLC "LPK Almas", all part of the Starway Group of Companies — these plans will be fully achieved.
This will increase the market share of timber products produced by Yakutian companies in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
LPK Almas has successfully completed the 2024–2025 winter logging season, fully meeting all plans and targets.
Over 100,000 cubic meters of high-quality sawlogs from Yakutian pine and larch species were harvested for processing and sales.
This includes more than 2,000 cubic meters of energy wood, under contracts signed at the end of 2024.
The machinery has been taken out for interseasonal maintenance and repairs.
At the Vitimsky logging site’s lower yard, where the harvested sawlogs were transported, sorting and batch preparation for shipment to Yakutsk are currently underway.
Along with sawlogs, more than 6,000 cubic meters of sawn timber produced at the Vitimsky sawmilling site have been prepared for shipment to Yakutsk.
By the end of the navigation season, over 10,000 cubic meters of high-quality lumber are planned for dispatch.
The Vitimsky team of LPK Almas has once again demonstrated their high level of professionalism and readiness to fulfill all tasks related to securing raw material supply for the company’s processing sites.
